So I promised I would post if the Boston Comic Con got rescheduled, and although this is late, I am a man of my word. So the BCC is better and more awesomer with more time. It's now happening August 3rd and 4th at the Seaport World Trade Center, a classier establishment for conventions than the Prudential Center (sorry for the harshness, Prudential.) Here is a link to the official website.

Also, here is a list of the guests I am most excited about:
Mike Mignola
Neal Adams
Scott Snyder
Tim Sale
This con is going to be amazing.
Also, love this Tim Sale t-shirt design.

Watchmen.
Everybody always says that Watchmen is the pinnacle of human comics achievement, that it's one of the godly stories of the 20th century, that is indubitably one of the greatest stories ever told. But I honestly do not understand the hype over it. Sure, I have some respect for it, and this blog post isn't going to be about how much I despise Watchmen and anything Watchmen related, because I don't hate it. I simply don't understand why so many people seem to love it. I have read it. I would never form an opinion like this without seeing this kind of thing for myself. The first time reading it, I found it to be bizarre, incredibly violent, and slightly disturbing. So then I thought, "It must be one of those stories with an underlying plot that no one understands the first time around." So I read it again. Same thoughts. And now, I really don't understand the love for it. Perhaps there is still some hidden theme that I never could wrap my head around, but for now I have only some respect for it, reason being it's a classic. I personally did not like it nearly as much as its popularity would suggest I would.
